Swamp Thing # 59 has been hand signed by Bernie Wrightson (1948-2017, Swamp Thing Co-Creator) and John Totleben (Inker) at the Baltimore Comic Con 2015. Alan Moore changed comics with his innovative writing on Swamp Thing. Combined with a detailed and mood setting art by Steve Bissette, John Totleben and Alfredo Alcala among others, Alan Moore's Swamp Thing led the way for more mature stories in main stream comics that would eventually lead to DC's Vertigo imprint. The signatures were witnessed by a Brooklyn Comic Shop representative. This comic comes with a signed Certificate Of Authenticity (COA).

This is the first comic book series to feature He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe. DC Comics won the license to produce mini-comics for the toyline, and released this three part series as an original story during the early 1980's. In 1985, Marvel Comics gained the rights to produce a He-Man series which lasted 13 issues before cancellation.

Condition Notes: Mid-Grade Condition with minimal cover wear. Item Notes: Batman # 428 features the Death of Jason Todd (Robin II). Jason Todd, the second Robin, was controversial from his inception as a replacement for Dick Grayson (the first Robin). Created by Gerry Conway for Batman #357, Todd was a mirror image of Dick Grayson with the exception that he had blonde hair that he dyed when appearing as Robin. After Crisis on Infinite Earths, Jason Todd's origin was dramatically altered to re-envision him as street kid. Jason Todd hereafter was depicted as questioning, petulant and had a tendency to be more extreme than Batman, even killing in one instance. In the Death In The Family storyline Jason Todd as Robin had been beaten by the Joker. The end of the comic featured a 1-900 telephone number to allow fans to determine his fate. While an alternate ending was created to show Robin had lived, the fan vote determined the fate of Jason Todd to die. Batman #428 revealed the outcome of the fan vote.

This Batman Print is hand signed by inker Joe Giella (b. 1928) in black sharpie pen.   Joe Giella is best known as the DC Comics inker for Carmine Infantino during the 1950's and 1960's. He worked as a ghost artist for Bob Kane on Batman, as well as many of the early Flash (Barry Allen) and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) comics of that era. He is credited with inking the first appearance of the Justice League of America. Joe Giella’s signature on this print was witnessed by the Brooklyn Comic Shop at the East Coast Comic Con 2019 in New York. The comic comes with a Certificate of Authenticity C.O.A.
