About: Secret Wars # 8 features the Origin of the Venom Alien and tells how Spider-Man acquired the black suit. This issue of Secret Wars was published at the same time that the original Venom storyline was concluding in Amazing Spider-Man # 258, which revealed the costume to be an evil alien symbiote. Signature Notes: Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars # 8 was signed by artist, Michael Zeck and inker John Beatty at the Mohegan Sun Terrific Con 2018. Spider-Man Editor Danny Fingeroth signed the comic at the Jewish Comic Con 2018. The signature was obtained and witnessed directly by the Brooklyn Comic Shop and comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity COA. Comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity (C.O.A).

Condition Notes: Mid-Grade Condition with minimal cover wear. Item Notes: Batman # 428 features the Death of Jason Todd (Robin II). Jason Todd, the second Robin, was controversial from his inception as a replacement for Dick Grayson (the first Robin). Created by Gerry Conway for Batman #357, Todd was a mirror image of Dick Grayson with the exception that he had blonde hair that he dyed when appearing as Robin. After Crisis on Infinite Earths, Jason Todd's origin was dramatically altered to re-envision him as street kid. Jason Todd hereafter was depicted as questioning, petulant and had a tendency to be more extreme than Batman, even killing in one instance. In the Death In The Family storyline Jason Todd as Robin had been beaten by the Joker. The end of the comic featured a 1-900 telephone number to allow fans to determine his fate. While an alternate ending was created to show Robin had lived, the fan vote determined the fate of Jason Todd to die. Batman #428 revealed the outcome of the fan vote.

Uncanny X-Men # 128 features Proteus, and has brief appearances by Magneto and Multiple Man in Flashback. This issue is part of the legendary comic run of John Byrne and Chris Claremont that shaped the scope of X-Men to this day. The Byrne/Claremont team reinvigorated interest in the X Men franchise and saved it from cancellation. These stories developed Wolverine's background and was the source of some of the greatest X-Men stories, "Days Of Future Past" and "the Dark Phoenix Saga."
