This beautiful portrait of Iron Man is hand-drawn by comic legend, Neal Adams. The artwork was obtained directly from Neal Adams by the Brooklyn Comic Shop and comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity (COA).
About the Artist: Neal Adams’s artwork dominated the field of comics in the 1970’s for its sense of realism and drama. He won several awards and soon found himself the leader of a new generation of artists that changed the look of comics in the 1970’s, known as the Bronze Age. For Marvel, he is known for his work on X-Men, Avengers, and Conan. For DC Comics, Adams re-invented Batman and Green Arrow for a new modern generation.
Comic highlights of career include the Muhammad Ali vs Superman Treasury Edition, Green Lantern/Green Arrow team up saga that highlighted social and political issues in the United States. He is perhaps most famous for his long run on Batman that transitioned the hero away from the 1960’s campy style and towards a darker more realistic tone.
He is responsible for re-designing the now classic costumes for Green Arrow and Robin (Tim Drake). Neal Adams also co-created several characters including: Havok (Marvel’s X-Men), Jon Sterwart Green Lantern (DC’s first African American hero), The Man-Bat, Ra’s Al Ghul, The League of Assassins, Talia, and the Reaper.

About: This is original production art for the Phantom Daily Newspaper Strip by George Olesen and Keith Williams.
The Phantom was created by writer Lee Falk (1911-1999). The Phantom has been featured in movie serials from the 1940's, Radio shows, Cartoon series, and a modern Live Action film in 1996. The character was one of the major influences of Batman, whose creators heavily borrowed from the Phantom.
The newspaper strip began publication in 1936 and is still published today.
