About the Artist: Joe Del Beato (b. 1956) broke into comics in the early 1980’s first at DC Comics as an inker on Superman, Justice League, Action Comics and more. He later worked for Hasbro on the G.I. Joe Toyline as well as the Marvel Comics G.I. Joe series. This included the 4 issue miniseries, G.I. Joe: Order Of Battle, which presented character profiles for every G.I. Joe, Cobra Villain and Vehicle to date. He continued to work for Marvel on Avengers, Justice and Cloak & Dagger comic series.

Item Notes: Batman # 428 features the Death of Jason Todd (Robin II).
Jason Todd, the second Robin, was controversial from his inception as a replacement for Dick Grayson (the first Robin). Created by Gerry Conway for Batman #357, Todd was a mirror image of Dick Grayson with the exception that he had blonde hair that he dyed when appearing as Robin.
After Crisis on Infinite Earths, Jason Todd's origin was dramatically altered to re-envision him as street kid. Jason Todd hereafter was depicted as questioning, petulant and had a tendency to be more extreme than Batman, even killing in one instance.
In the Death In The Family storyline Jason Todd as Robin had been beaten by the Joker. The end of the comic featured a 1-900 telephone number to allow fans to determine his fate.
While an alternate ending was created to show Robin had lived, the fan vote determined the fate of Jason Todd to die. Batman #428 revealed the outcome of the fan vote.

This is one of the final issues of the TMNT Adventures comic series by Archie Comics.
The series ended with 72. Because of the series coming to a close, these final issues saw extremely low production runs.

The Phantom was created by writer Lee Falk (1911-1999). The Phantom has been featured in movie serials from the 1940's, Radio shows, Cartoon series, and a modern Live Action film in 1996. The character was one of the major influences of Batman, whose creators heavily borrowed from the Phantom.
The newspaper strip began publication in 1936 and is still published today.
