Uncanny X-Men # 128 features Proteus, and has brief appearances by Magneto and Multiple Man in Flashback. This issue is part of the legendary comic run of John Byrne and Chris Claremont that shaped the scope of X-Men to this day. The Byrne/Claremont team reinvigorated interest in the X Men franchise and saved it from cancellation.
