These issues feature the first appearance of Mr. Sinister, leader of the Marauders. Following the Mutant Massacre storyline, Mr. Sinister sends the Marauders to kill Cyclops's estranged wife, Madelyne Prior. This issue also features an appearance by Sabretooth that leads into the next isssue's second Wolverine vs. Sabretooth fight in Uncanny X-Men # 222.

Condition Notes: Mid-Grade Condition with minimal cover wear. Item Notes: Batman # 428 features the Death of Jason Todd (Robin II). Jason Todd, the second Robin, was controversial from his inception as a replacement for Dick Grayson (the first Robin). Created by Gerry Conway for Batman #357, Todd was a mirror image of Dick Grayson with the exception that he had blonde hair that he dyed when appearing as Robin. After Crisis on Infinite Earths, Jason Todd's origin was dramatically altered to re-envision him as street kid. Jason Todd hereafter was depicted as questioning, petulant and had a tendency to be more extreme than Batman, even killing in one instance. In the Death In The Family storyline Jason Todd as Robin had been beaten by the Joker. The end of the comic featured a 1-900 telephone number to allow fans to determine his fate. While an alternate ending was created to show Robin had lived, the fan vote determined the fate of Jason Todd to die. Batman #428 revealed the outcome of the fan vote.

The series ended with 72. Because of the series coming to a close, these final issues saw extremely low production runs.
