About: Legends # 3 features the first appearance of the modern Suicide Squad. The Suicide Squad has had a rotating membership which has lately included Harley Quinn. The team was the subject of the Warner Brothers film Suicide Squad (2016). Condition: Mid to High grade condition with wear consistent with grade. Signature Notes: Legends # 3 has been signed by Karl Kesel (inker). The signature had been verified by the Brooklyn Comic Shop. This Batman Print is hand signed by inker Joe Giella (b. 1928) in black sharpie pen.   Joe Giella is best known as the DC Comics inker for Carmine Infantino during the 1950's and 1960's. He worked as a ghost artist for Bob Kane on Batman, as well as many of the early Flash (Barry Allen) and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) comics of that era. He is credited with inking the first appearance of the Justice League of America. Joe Giella’s signature on this print was witnessed by the Brooklyn Comic Shop at the East Coast Comic Con 2019 in New York. The comic comes with a Certificate of Authenticity C.O.A.

2nd Printing Signature Notes: Batman: The Dark Knight Returns # 1 is signed by creators, Frank Miller (Artist/Writer),  Klaus Janson (Inker) & Dennis O'Neil (Editor). The comic was signed by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson at New York Comic Con 2018. Dennis O'Neil signed the comic at the East Coast Comic Con 2019. Detective Comics# 675 Platinum Edition was an exclusive comic distributed by DC at comic book conventions in 1994 and as a retailer incentive to promote the New Batman Costume worn by Azrael. This comic was limited in supply and not available at newstands. Note that the cover has no price.

Condition Notes: Mid-Grade Condition with minimal cover wear. Item Notes: Batman # 428 features the Death of Jason Todd (Robin II). Jason Todd, the second Robin, was controversial from his inception as a replacement for Dick Grayson (the first Robin). Created by Gerry Conway for Batman #357, Todd was a mirror image of Dick Grayson with the exception that he had blonde hair that he dyed when appearing as Robin. After Crisis on Infinite Earths, Jason Todd's origin was dramatically altered to re-envision him as street kid. Jason Todd hereafter was depicted as questioning, petulant and had a tendency to be more extreme than Batman, even killing in one instance. In the Death In The Family storyline Jason Todd as Robin had been beaten by the Joker. The end of the comic featured a 1-900 telephone number to allow fans to determine his fate. While an alternate ending was created to show Robin had lived, the fan vote determined the fate of Jason Todd to die. Batman #428 revealed the outcome of the fan vote.
