Jason Todd, the second Robin, was controversial from his inception as a replacement for Dick Grayson (the first Robin). Created by Gerry Conway for Batman #357, Todd was a mirror image of Dick Grayson with the exception that he had blonde hair that he dyed when appearing as Robin. After Crisis on Infinite Earths, Jason Todd's origin was dramatically altered to re-envision him as street kid. Jason Todd hereafter was depicted as questioning, petulant and had a tendency to be more extreme than Batman, even killing in one instance. In the Death In The Family storyline Jason Todd as Robin had been beaten by the Joker. The end of the comic featured a 1-900 telephone number to allow fans to determine his fate. While an alternate ending was created to show Robin had lived, the fan vote determined the fate of Jason Todd to die. Batman #428 revealed the outcome of the fan vote.

X-Factor # 23 features the first appearance of Archangel as Apocalypse's Horseman Death. This issue leads into the Fall of the Mutants storyline. Condition: Mid Grade Condition with minor spine wear.

Swamp Thing # 59 has been hand signed by Bernie Wrightson (1948-2017, Swamp Thing Co-Creator) and John Totleben (Inker) at the Baltimore Comic Con 2015. Alan Moore changed comics with his innovative writing on Swamp Thing. Combined with a detailed and mood setting art by Steve Bissette, John Totleben and Alfredo Alcala among others, Alan Moore's Swamp Thing led the way for more mature stories in main stream comics that would eventually lead to DC's Vertigo imprint. Akira # 02 is a first printing in English of Katsuhiro Otomo's ground breaking Manga comic. Akira was later featured as an Anime film that had a major impact on American comic artists including Jim Lee. Condition: High Grade condition.
