This is a RARE autographed book. The book is unique to feature signatures by so many famous creators and is one of a kind.
Jerry Siegel (1914-1996) is regarded as the main creator of Superman. As a writer, he partnered with artist, Joe Shuster, who created the look of the character. They began developing Superman in 1933 and pitched the comic to many publishers before seeing print in 1938. During this time, Joe Shuster became frustrated with the rejection and left the project for some time, causing Jerry Siegel to find a new artist partner. Shuster returned to Superman before the comic was picked up by DC. Action Comics # 1 (1st Superman) went on to become the highest selling book at the time and continues to be the most valuable comic to date.
Julius Schwartz (1915-2004) is credited with the revival of the superhero genre in the 1950’s leading to the Silver Age of comics. He oversaw the creation of DC’s Flash (Barry Allen), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Hawkman, The Justice League of America and many more.
The signatures of Jerry Siegel and Julius Schwartz have been verified to be authentic by the Brooklyn Comic Shop.
The book has also been signed by Len Wein at New York Comic Con in 2014 and Jose Luis Garcia Lopez at the Mohegan Sun Terrific Con 2015. These signatures have been witnessed by a Brooklyn Comic Shop Representative.
