Condition Notes: Mid-Grade Condition with minimal cover wear. Item Notes: Batman # 428 features the Death of Jason Todd (Robin II). Jason Todd, the second Robin, was controversial from his inception as a replacement for Dick Grayson (the first Robin). Created by Gerry Conway for Batman #357, Todd was a mirror image of Dick Grayson with the exception that he had blonde hair that he dyed when appearing as Robin. After Crisis on Infinite Earths, Jason Todd's origin was dramatically altered to re-envision him as street kid. Jason Todd hereafter was depicted as questioning, petulant and had a tendency to be more extreme than Batman, even killing in one instance. In the Death In The Family storyline Jason Todd as Robin had been beaten by the Joker. The end of the comic featured a 1-900 telephone number to allow fans to determine his fate. While an alternate ending was created to show Robin had lived, the fan vote determined the fate of Jason Todd to die. Batman #428 revealed the outcome of the fan vote.

The DC Vs Marvel Preview contains a voting ballot that comic fans could fill out and send in to determine who would win amongst Marvel and DC's greatest heroes. This is the first comic book series to feature He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe. DC Comics won the license to produce mini-comics for the toyline, and released this three part series as an original story during the early 1980's. In 1985, Marvel Comics gained the rights to produce a He-Man series which lasted 13 issues before cancellation.

About: Secret Wars # 8 features the Origin of the Venom Alien and tells how Spider-Man acquired the black suit. This issue of Secret Wars was published at the same time that the original Venom storyline was concluding in Amazing Spider-Man # 258, which revealed the costume to be an evil alien symbiote. Spider-Man Editor Danny Fingeroth signed the comic at the Jewish Comic Con 2018.
