Story Notes:
This comic features a very early appearance of Wolverine, and the New X-Men. It is also the second appearance of Jean Grey as the Phoenix. In the story, Spider-Man and the X-Men attend a secret summit on man made mutation when their plane is brought down by a band of researchers transformed into aspects of Hindu gods by a nuclear meltdown. This issue also marks the first meeting of Spider-Man and Wolverine. Story continues into Marvel Team Up #53.
