Here Oliver Queen's son, Connor Hawke has been Green Arrow for only a few years after Oliver Queen's death in Green Arrow # 100-101. Having been dead for over three years, this issue features a cameo scene at Oliver Queen's gravesite that shows Parallax (Hal Jordan) conjuring a second unrevealed figure. In Kevin Smith's Green Arrow series, this event is revealed to be Oliver Queens resurrection.

These issues feature the first appearance of Mr. Sinister, leader of the Marauders. Following the Mutant Massacre storyline, Mr. Sinister sends the Marauders to kill Cyclops's estranged wife, Madelyne Prior. This issue also features an appearance by Sabretooth that leads into the next isssue's second Wolverine vs. Sabretooth fight in Uncanny X-Men # 222.

Israeli Defense # 2 comic features the re-emergence of the Golem vs. the Jewish Super-Hero, Magen: The Shield of Israel. The comic series is a modern take on the patriotic Golden Age comics of the 1940’s. The series focuses on deconstructing Islamic terrorism. Israeli Defense Comics is independently published and is produced in limited edition.

About: Daredevil # 270  features the first appearance of Blackheart, the son of Mephisto. Blackheart is an important villain in Ghost Rider's Rogue gallery. The series ended with 72. Because of the series coming to a close, these final issues saw extremely low production runs.
