The Phantom was created by writer Lee Falk (1911-1999). The Phantom has been featured in movie serials from the 1940's, Radio shows, Cartoon series, and a modern Live Action film in 1996. The character was one of the major influences of Batman, whose creators heavily borrowed from the Phantom. The newspaper strip began publication in 1936 and is still published today. This artwork is the original production artwork and is one of a kind. The artwork comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity COA hand signed by Elizabeth Falk from the Lee Falk Estate.

About: Punch and Judy (Vol. 1) # 11 is a 1946 Golden Age Comic that features the first comic artwork for veteran DC Batman artist Joe Giella. ** This comic is a File Copy that belonged to comic artist, Saul Kessler, who worked on this comic. He was an animator at the Max Fleischer Studios in Brooklyn and worked on Popeye and Betty Boop animation. Kessler specialized in cartoon humor art for DC Comics from 1944-1947. This comic was obtained directly from the Saul Kessler estate and comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity COA. Comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity (C.O.A).

Batman Print SIGNED by Joe Giella
This Batman Print is hand signed by inker Joe Giella (b. 1928) in black sharpie pen.   Joe Giella is best known as the DC Comics inker for Carmine Infantino during the 1950's and 1960's. He worked as a ghost artist for Bob Kane on Batman, as well as many of the early Flash (Barry Allen) and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) comics of that era. He is credited with inking the first appearance of the Justice League of America. Joe Giella’s signature on this print was witnessed by the Brooklyn Comic Shop at the East Coast Comic Con 2019 in New York. The comic comes with a Certificate of Authenticity C.O.A.
